We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with proven experience in the distribution or trading industry. The role involves overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and managing the financial health of the company with a particular focus on inventory, cost accounting, and revenue recognition in a distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including AR, AP, GL, and bank reconciliations.
- Manage and monitor inventory accounting, costing, and stock movement within ERP systems.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Perform variance analysis and gross margin analysis on distributed products.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure accurate stock valuation and timely reporting.
- Monitor and manage credit limits, collections, and payment terms for distributors and clients.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities for audits and filing.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Support internal controls and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a distribution or trading company.
- Strong understanding of inventory costing, warehousing, and logistics accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of financial reporting tools.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
