Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of transactions
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Manage payroll and related tax filings
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
- Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, income tax, and other filings
- Collaborate with auditors during audits
- Support the finance team with ad hoc projects and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification (preferred or required depending on seniority)
- Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
