As a Government Relations Assistant Manager, you are responsible to lead the team for the day to day processing of all transactions relating to visas, permits, licenses and registration while liaising with various government departments and agencies while also maintaining cost efficiency for the firm. This covers onboarding and outboarding of employees as well as assisting renewals of current employee base. The role holder will be responsible for supervising other team members and PROs to ensure efficient service delivery.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the Government Relations team to ensure that all Government related requirements related to the Employee base are managed effectively and within agreed SLA’s.
· Be knowledgeable of the UAE’s Labour laws and procedures within Immigration and Ministry of Labour in order to process the required documents
- Plan, prioritize and allocate work assignments to the PR team, and monitor their performance to ensure the quality and timely execution of tasks.
- Ensure timely completion of visa processes against agreed SLAs for clients and their dependents whilst providing regular progress updates to the PRO unit and HRBPs. Ensure all queries and complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and be the point of contact for any escalated cases.
- Continuously review systems, procedures and practices to identify shortcomings and recommend best practice solutions to increase efficiency and performance. This includes developing e-smart services and use of online portals to provide efficient and streamlined visa services.
- Provide in-depth professional guidance and advice on PR queries and resolve issues to employees and Line Managers.
- Provide professional advice, guidance and conduct performance review of PR staff to assist in the development of their potential and to enhance skill-based knowledge.
- Participates in regular team meetings, to contribute to group discussions on areas of potential improvements and to resolve issues of a broader policy nature.
· Monitor the renewal of permits and licenses including trade license, chamber of commerce certificates of registration, other certificates, etc.
· Be up to date with regard to any changes or amendments to the prevailing laws / rules / regulations, changes in forms / formats and other procedures.
· Obtain quarterly sponsorship reports from the immigration / labour office and tally sponsorships and re-submit to immigration / labour office with relevant support documents
· Develop and execute government affairs strategies to promote our organization's goals and objectives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other materials to effectively communicate our organization's positions and priorities to government officials and other stakeholders

Qualifications:
Preferably a graduate.
