Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our dedicated culinary team in delivering authentic and exceptional dining experiences. As the Chef de Cuisine, you will bring your deep knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques and presentation to elevate the outlet’s offerings while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene.
- Develop, lead, and execute an outstanding menu that showcases authentic flavors, modern techniques, and elegant presentation.
- Ensure the highest standards of taste, quality, and consistency in all dishes served.
- Innovate with seasonal ingredients and culinary trends while preserving traditional recipes.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including staffing, production, and mise en place.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen brigade, ensuring skills development, discipline, and high morale.
- Coordinate with sous chefs and kitchen team on food preparation, station assignments, and service timing.
- Engage with guests when appropriate to enhance their dining experience through culinary storytelling.
- Participate in menu tastings, food festivals, and special events.
- Respond professionally to guest feedback and implement necessary improvements.
- Monitor and control food costs, portioning, and waste to achieve budget targets.
- Ensure full compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations (HACCP or equivalent).
- Maintain up-to-date inventory, requisition orders, and supplier coordination for Lebanese ingredients.
- Train team members on cooking techniques, presentation, and product knowledge.
- Create a positive, respectful, and professional working environment.
- Identify talent and help develop the next generation of culinary leaders within the team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a luxury hotel
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Fluency in English is required;
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
HACCP or relevant food safety certification required.
