- Manage a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauces, pastry, etc.)
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in your section.
- Assist in developing new recipes and menus in collaboration with the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food hygiene regulations and kitchen safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels, order ingredients as needed, and minimize waste.
- Train and supervise Commis Chefs or junior team members in your section.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station at all times.
- Ensure consistency in portion size, presentation, and taste.
- Communicate effectively with the rest of the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
