Job Summary
The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and orderly environment across the assigned areas. The role includes routine cleaning tasks and ensuring high standards of cleanliness in line with company or client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, offices, hallways, and public areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors as needed
- Dust furniture, shelves, and other surfaces
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly
- Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and sanitizers
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Follow cleaning schedules and checklists as instructed
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the supervisor
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and use equipment properly
- Support deep cleaning or special cleaning tasks as required
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety practices
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift during long shifts
- Attention to detail and pride in delivering quality results
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends
Working Conditions
- Indoor and/or outdoor work depending on the location
- Use of cleaning tools, equipment, and protective gear (e.g., gloves, masks)
