The Machinist will be responsible for performing workshop tasks such as new machining, equipment repairs, and roll machining, with a focus on CNC and lathe operations. This role supports plant reliability through accurate fabrication, timely repairs, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC and manual lathe machines for new parts and repair jobs.
- Use G-code programming for precision machining.
- Understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Repair plant components including rolls, shafts, and couplings.
- Log job data in paper or ERP systems and report to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and attend required training.
- Adhere to PTW and JSEA guidelines.
- Keep the work area clean and tools maintained.
- Assist in breakdowns and plant shutdown activities.
Skills and Competencies:
- CNC machine operation and G-code knowledge.
