Job Summary:
A Commis Chef is responsible for assisting senior chefs in food preparation and maintaining kitchen hygiene. They play a key role in learning and developing their culinary skills while ensuring high-quality food production.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation & Cooking
- Assist in preparing ingredients .
- Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs.
- Cook basic dishes and support different kitchen sections as required.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
2. Kitchen Operations & Hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
- Properly store ingredients and manage leftovers to minimize waste.
3. Teamwork & Support
- Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in plating dishes and preparing for service.
- Help with stock management and receiving deliveries.
Requirements:
- Basic culinary knowledge or relevant experience (hotel/restaurant/café).
- Passion for cooking and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,200.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Al-Ayn: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Hotel/Restaurant/Cafe: 2 years (Required)
