Objective:
The Specialist/Consultant Dermatologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with dermatological conditions, providing expert advice on skin health, and performing medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology procedures. This role involves delivering personalized care to patients, conducting specialized procedures (such as laser treatments, chemical peels, Botox, and fillers), and ensuring compliance with DHA regulations and clinic policies.
Key Responsibility:
Clinical Dermatology
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of dermatological conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, infections, and pigmentation disorders.
- Conduct thorough skin assessments and prescribe appropriate treatment plans based on clinical evaluation and diagnostic results.
Aesthetic & Cosmetic Dermatology
- Perform aesthetic procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, mesotherapy, PRP, microneedling, and laser-based therapies in accordance with patient needs and safety protocols.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure consultations and manage aesthetic outcomes to ensure patient satisfaction and procedural efficacy.
Minor Dermatologic Surgeries
- Conduct minor skin surgeries including biopsies, excisions of moles, cysts, and other benign or suspicious lesions.
- Ensure aseptic techniques and adherence to procedural protocols to minimize complications and ensure rapid recovery.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records in line with DHA documentation requirements.
- Ensure all medical practices comply with legal, ethical, and institutional guidelines governing patient care.
Patient Experience & Collaboration
- Coordinate with nurses, aesthetic technicians, and patient care staff to ensure seamless service delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Educate patients about treatment options, expected results, and post-treatment care to support informed decision-making.
Professional Development & Best Practice
- Stay abreast of advancements in dermatology, cosmetic technologies, and treatment protocols through ongoing education and peer collaboration.
- Ensure quality standards, evidence-based care, and ethical medical practice at all times.
Desired Experience:
- Medical Degree (MBBS/MD) with a recognized specialization in Dermatology (MD/DNB).
- DHA license or eligibility as a Specialist or Consultant Dermatologist.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of clinical experience in dermatology, with demonstrable expertise in both medical and cosmetic dermatology.
- Certified in advanced cosmetic procedures including Botox, fillers, lasers, and other minimally invasive skin rejuvenation techniques.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
