The Draftsman is a universal CAD/BIM specialist who generates 2D & 3D drawings for villa-scale reconstruction and fit-out projects, coordinates models with engineers, and prepares authority-ready sheets. The role works from the office (B203, Prime Business Center, JVC) and is pivotal to the department’s on-schedule services delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Drawing Production :
- Create concept, schematic and detailed drawings in AutoCAD & Revit (plans, sections, elevations, schedules)
- Develop coordinated shop-drawings / as-built sets for the site
BIM & Model Coordination :
- Maintain federated BIM files, run clash checks, export IFC/NWC for engineers
- Annotate revisions, apply DM title blocks and layer standards
Authority Submissions :
- Format sheets and layer colours to DM/DDA/Trakhees templates
- Issue PDFs to the project manager on the same business day after internal sign-off; incorporate comments until approval
Internal Collaboration :
- Liaise daily with Architectural, Structural and MEP engineers; update BOQ take-offs
- Log all drawings in Zoho Projects / Google Drive with correct revision codes
Quality & Process :
● Follow ArchiStruct SOP for naming, revision control and file archiving
● Flag design inconsistencies to the Chief Engineer before issuing
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
● Drawing package issued after engineer sign-off – ≤ 24 h
● Authority re-submissions due to drafting error – 0 per project
● Open BIM clash issues (> 7 days) – ≤ 5
● Revision control accuracy (Zoho/Drive) – 100 %
Mandatory Requirements
● Diploma / Certificate in Architectural, Structural or MEP Drafting
● Minimum 5 years UAE drafting experience on villas / low-rise projects
● Advanced AutoCAD & Revit skills; basic Navisworks/BIM 360
● Familiarity with DM/DDA/Trakhees submission formats and Dubai codes
● Working knowledge of Zoho CRM/Projects and Google Workspace
● Fluent English (written & spoken)

Compensation Package
● Fixed salary: AED 5,000/month
● Monthly KPI-based performance bonus: AED 3,000/month
● Participation in the company’s project office bonus fund, based on overall turnover (eligibility after 6-month probation)
