About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Inspector for the night shift at our site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of electrical systems and components in our operations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations, systems, and equipment during night shift hours
- Verify compliance with local and international electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Identify and document electrical deficiencies, safety hazards, and code violations
- Perform electrical tests using specialized equipment and interpret results accurately
- Review and analyze electrical plans, schematics, and blueprints for compliance and safety
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all inspections
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve electrical issues
- Stay updated on changes in electrical codes, standards, and inspection procedures
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures at all times
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an electrical inspector or in a related field with site supervision team
- Relevant electrical inspection certifications (e.g., NICEIC, IET)
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety standards
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
- Experience with various testing equipment and inspection tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in computer applications for report writing and documentation
- Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations in Dubai, UAE
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a non-traditional schedule
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards
- Physical ability to access various work areas and handle inspection equipment
- Willingness to continuously update knowledge of electrical codes and inspection techniques
