Key Accountabilities
- Handling daily Incidents/TTs as per du operation policies and scope of work.
- Technical/Process leader for the Operation and Maintenance of the IPTV Headend and Middleware Networks that includes:
- Excellent knowledge for Headend devices (Splitters, amplifier, L-band distributor, DCM MKII 9902: DCM DRD, DCM GBE, DCM MFP, and DCM MUX), Acquisition server, Distribution server & VOD server
- Technical support of First level troubleshooting and Monitoring.
- Keep Team Lead and Manager up to date with regular progress reports on incidents progress.
- Establish and maintain effective relationship within du and external parties (Business partners, Commercial teams, Customer Operations, IT etc.) till the resolution of faults.
- Ensure monitoring and analysis of vendor performance for incident handling.
- 1st level troubleshooting including Trouble Ticket Management.
- 24/7 monitoring of IGW, Fixed Voice & IPTV KPI’s and ensuring KPI’s should met as per DU Network Standards.
- Prepare/Maintains an up-to-date documentation Manual/diagrams of the existing devices/solutions to help in incident handling and supporting in day-to-day operation tasks related to the domain.
- Prepare incidents related technical reports and documentation.
- Support new project/ services acceptance from SOC Operations. Monitoring all day-to-day activities within Service Operations Centre.
- CR Login/Logout.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Telecommunication Engineering or related discipline
Experience:
- 3-5 years of strong telecom knowledge and experience in the following technologies:
- Nokia & Huawei ATCA IGW, SBC & U2000 and NetAct
- IPTV Headend and Middleware Networks Technologies.
Skills
- Good knowledge in programing and automation.
- Good knowledge in agile methodology.
- Must be able to work effectively in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, to prioritize, and demonstrate excellent follow-through on each task assigned. Knowledge of network implementation / integration processes.
- Sound knowledge of CS Core, Fixed Voice Network with hands on experience on IGW nodes.
- Technically sound in Core Network and should know SIP protocol working principle.
- Providing technical support to field teams in troubleshooting of IPTV Node (DRD/MFP/Mux)
- Handling customer complaints regarding IPTV platform related.
- Ability to work under pressure and to be able to handle network crises and emergencies.
