1.1 General Description
Involved as the role of Engineering Manager with a proven track record in solar power projects to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the design, development, and execution of solar energy systems, including utility-scale, commercial, and residential projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solar power solutions on time and within budget.

2.1 Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership:
o Oversee the planning, design, and execution of solar power projects from concept to completion.
o Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality and safety standards.
o Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
2. Technical Expertise:
o Provide technical guidance and support for solar power system design, including PV arrays, inverters, energy storage systems, and grid integration.
o Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
o Stay updated on the latest advancements in solar technology, materials, and best practices.
3. Team Management:
o Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff.
o Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive continuous improvement.
o Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance reviews.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
o Communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
o Support business development efforts by providing technical expertise during client meetings and proposal development.
5. Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure all engineering activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC).
o Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all designs and processes adhere to safety protocols and best practices.
6. Budget and Resource Management:
o Develop and manage engineering budgets for solar power projects.
o Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.
3.1 Candidate Profile:
1. Minimum 10 years’ experience in project execution and management
2. Minium 5 years’ experience in the execution and management of EPC projects (at least 2) in solar PV, transmission and distribution sectors and or other renewables.
3. Minimum 3 years’ experience of project manager or similar (at least construction manager)
4. Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering management.
5. Exposure of projects in GCC countries and Africa countries.
6. Skilled in MS office, MS-project, Primavera P6
7. PMP certified or similar (IPMP, Prince)
8. EPC experience is mandatory.
