Job Title: Female Medical Cleaner
Department: Housekeeping / Infection Control
Reports To: Facility Supervisor / Clinic Manager
Location: SEHA Medical Center, Ajman
Job Summary:
The Female Medical Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of the medical facility, ensuring all patient care areas, treatment rooms, waiting areas, and administrative zones meet health and safety standards as per UAE Ministry of Health regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect all patient areas including consultation rooms, treatment rooms, restrooms, and waiting areas.
- Follow proper cleaning and disinfection procedures using approved chemicals and equipment.
- Handle medical waste (sharps, contaminated materials) in accordance with MOH and facility guidelines.
- Replenish supplies such as hand sanitizers, tissue, soap, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions.
- Support infection control practices, including terminal cleaning after procedures or discharges.
- Assist during deep cleaning routines as per schedule or when instructed by the supervisor.
- Wear appropriate PPE and ensure safety standards are maintained.
- Report any potential hazards or repairs to the supervisor immediately.
- Uphold patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality during cleaning tasks.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum high school education preferred.
- Prior experience (1–2 years) as a cleaner in a medical or clinical setting is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of hygiene, infection control, and medical waste handling.
- Physically fit and capable of performing cleaning duties across shifts.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
