Job Summary
BDGT Group is seeking a results-driven Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of the company in Dubai. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, and sound financial planning. The Finance Manager will oversee a small but growing finance team and collaborate closely with procurement managers, suppliers, and key customers to support the company’s trading operations. This role is pivotal to maintaining financial health, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the finance function, overseeing the Senior Accountant and Junior Accountant, ensuring efficient daily operations.
- Develop and maintain accurate financial statements, management reports, and dashboards to support executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with Procurement Managers to monitor supplier contracts, terms, and payment cycles, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Supervise Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely collections from customers and resolution of payment disputes.
- Prepare and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, audit requirements, and other statutory financial obligations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions as needed.
- Evaluate financial performance by analyzing data and market trends to recommend cost control strategies and process improvements.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Support strategic planning and provide financial input on key business decisions, pricing strategies, and risk management.
- Oversee cash flow planning, treasury functions, and working capital management.
- Implement and maintain ERP systems or financial software tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory)
- Recognized professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA (preferred or in-
progress)
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, ideally within the trading or commercial sector in the UAE.
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Zoho, Odoo, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of UAE financial regulations, VAT, and compliance frameworks
- Ability to work cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, operations, and
external partners
Work Environment & Collaboration
This role is based in Dubai and requires day-to-day collaboration with internal departments, particularly procurement, operations, and sales teams, as well as close coordination with external suppliers, service providers, and financial institutions, The Finance Manager is expected to provide leadership, foster cross-functional alignment, and ensure financial controls are in place across all transactions.
