Your day to day
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Electrical Maintenance:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, HVAC, and other hotel equipment.
- Diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Installation and Upgrades:
- Install new electrical systems and equipment as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Upgrade existing electrical systems to improve efficiency and meet operational needs.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with local codes, regulations, and IHG standards.
- Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety of guests and staff.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults during emergencies.
- Energy Management:
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and monitor energy usage to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Work with the engineering team to optimize the performance of energy-consuming systems.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical work, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and installations.
- Provide regular reports on the status of electrical systems and highlight any issues or areas for improvement.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other members of the engineering team to ensure seamless operation of all hotel systems.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized electrical work or major projects.
- Guest Service:
- Provide excellent service to hotel guests by addressing any electrical issues in their rooms or common areas.
- Ensure minimal disruption to guests during maintenance and repair activities.
What we need from you
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and electrical codes.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
