We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Garment Merchandiser to manage the entire process from product development to shipment. The role involves direct communication with buyers, coordination with internal teams (production, sampling, sourcing), and ensuring on-time delivery of quality garments. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, good knowledge of fabrics and garment construction, and experience handling export orders or local production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact between buyers and the production team.
- Understand buyer requirements and ensure accurate interpretation into product samples.
- Coordinate with design, sampling, sourcing, and production departments.
- Develop and manage Time and Action (TNA) calendars to track all stages of order execution.
- Follow up on sample development, approvals (fabric, trims, fit, lab dips), and changes.
- Negotiate costs, order quantities, and delivery timelines with suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure raw materials are sourced and delivered on time for production.
- Conduct order status meetings and ensure on-time production and shipment.
- Maintain records of buyer communications, costing, approvals, and shipment documentation.
- Assist in quality control follow-ups and solve issues related to delays or rejections.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Garment Merchandiser or in a similar role in apparel export/local manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of fabric types, garment construction, trims, and finishing processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, email communication, and order tracking tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
