General Accountant (Dubai)
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and petty cash.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all accounts are balanced and accurate.
- VAT Compliance: Prepare and file VAT returns in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations.
- Reporting: Generate financial statements, budget forecasts, and cash flow reports.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely and compliant audit processes.
- Expense Monitoring: Track company expenditures and recommend cost-saving measures.
- ERP Systems: Use accounting software, Odoo, Tally, QuickBooks to manage transactions and reporting.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–5 years of UAE experience preferred, especially in sectors Trading
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and UAE VAT laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Bilingual Arabic+ English +is often a plus.
- 6-day work week, 8-hour shifts
