Patient Consultation and Diagnosis
- Perform initial patient assessments through physical examinations and medical history reviews.
- Diagnose illnesses, infections, and chronic diseases.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, X-rays).
2. Treatment and Medication
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans.
- Advise patients on preventive healthcare, lifestyle changes, and immunizations.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
3. Emergency and Acute Care
- Provide immediate care for urgent but non-life-threatening conditions.
- Stabilize patients and refer them to specialists or hospitals if needed.
4. Referrals and Follow-Ups
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other healthcare professionals.
- Follow up on referred cases and maintain continuity of care.
5. Patient Education
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and medication use.
- Promote general health awareness and disease prevention.
6. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient medical records.
- Complete reports, referral letters, and insurance paperwork as needed.
7. Collaboration
- Work closely with nurses, lab technicians, and administrative staff.
- Participate in case discussions and treatment planning with medical teams.
8. Clinic/Hospital Duties
- Attend scheduled outpatient clinics or ward rounds.
- Assist in minor procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care) if applicable.
9. Ethical and Professional Conduct
- Maintain patient confidentiality and respect ethical medical standards.
- Stay updated with medical guidelines and continue professional development.
