Responsibilities of a GP Aesthetic Doctor:
- Patient Consultation & Assessment:
- Conduct in-depth consultations to understand patient needs and expectations.
- Assess medical history to ensure suitability for aesthetic procedures.
- Identify any contraindications or risks before treatment.
- Perform Aesthetic Procedures:
- Administer non-surgical cosmetic treatments such as:
- Botox and dermal fillers
- Chemical peels
- Laser treatments
- Microneedling, PRP (plasma) therapy
- Skin rejuvenation and tightening procedures
- Develop Treatment Plans:
- Create customized treatment plans based on the patient’s condition and goals.
- Advise on follow-up treatments and maintenance.
- Ensure Patient Safety:
- Follow proper hygiene, sterilization, and infection control protocols.
- Monitor patients during and after procedures to manage any side effects or complications.
- Post-Treatment Care:
- Provide clear post-procedure instructions and aftercare guidance.
- Schedule and conduct follow-up appointments.
- Maintain Accurate Medical Records:
- Document all consultations, procedures, and outcomes thoroughly and confidentially.
- Comply with data protection and healthcare regulations.
- Stay Updated on Aesthetic Trends:
- Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and certifications.
- Stay informed about new technologies and products in the field of aesthetic medicine.
- Professional Conduct & Ethics:
- Maintain high ethical standards and patient confidentiality.
- Obtain informed consent before every procedure.
- Manage patient expectations realistically and professionally.
- Product Knowledge & Inventory:
- Have a strong understanding of products used (fillers, toxins, skincare, etc.).
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and stock management.
