Job Summary:
The Head of Life Insurance will be responsible for establishing and leading the life insurance division within the brokerage. This role involves setting up the department from the ground up, developing a strategic roadmap, building a high-performing sales team, and managing the division as a profit centre. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry experience, a strong portfolio, and a proven ability to drive growth in the UAE life insurance market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and structure the life insurance department, including systems, processes, and team recruitment.
- Develop and implement a strategic business plan to position the division as a key profit centre.
- Lead and manage the life insurance sales team to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with insurers, partners, and key clients.
- Oversee product development and portfolio expansion across individual and group life insurance.
- Ensure compliance with UAE insurance regulations and internal governance standards.
- Monitor performance metrics and report regularly to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with other departments to support cross-selling and integrated client solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in life insurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or setup role.
- Strong portfolio of life insurance clients and insurer relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE life insurance market and regulatory environment.
- Proven track record in building and scaling insurance teams and operations.
