Position Description
The Middle East & Africa (MEA) region is a dynamic and complex business area for Fonterra, comprising three sales offices and a manufacturing site with a diverse team of 200 employees representing 30 nationalities. Our goal is to ensure we extract the best value from every drop of milk, leveraging our expertise and innovative approach to meet the needs of our customers and consumers.
Reporting to the General Manager Consumer -MEA, you would lead the Consumer Supply Chain Team in managing the Supply Chain and Sourcing Strategy to maximize the process efficiency, productivity, and profitability in line with organizational goals.
Key responsibilities would include:
- Provide thought leadership and direction to business leaders to implement the Supply Chain & Sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Enable the Supply Chain Team to deliver by providing context and direction, establishing clear accountabilities, developing and coaching, and creating an empowering team environment.
- Lead the International Sourcing Strategy to manage demand and supply reconciliation with Global Sourcing and Third-Party Manufacturing.
- Lead supplier negotiation, contract management and supplier diversification for both direct and indirect procurement to secure optimal terms, drive cost efficiencies, and continuous supply.
- Lead Demand Planning to contribute in delivering customer service for the business that aligns with customer expectation both from an external and internal prospective by generating a best in class rolling 24 months+ (in weekly buckets) view of unconstrained demand.
- Lead and provide direction to the Customer Service Team accountable for order management, invoicing, customer relationship management, complaint management and IBP reporting.
- Lead Supply Planning to manage supply network plan (0-24+months in weekly buckets) to ensure delivery of the targeted customer service level using the demand plan as the major signal for customer requirements.
You should possess the following:
- Degree in Business Management or relevant field
- 10+ years' experience in both Integrated Planning & Sourcing leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of the FMCG end-to-end (E2E) value chain
- Excellent Integrated Business Planning (IBP) experience
- A background in (preferably both direct and indirect) procurement
- Knowledge of GCC markets and export/import documentation requirements
- Significant experience in influencing and managing internal and external stakeholders to drive results
- Proven ability in problem solving, simplification, efficiency, optimization and risk management
- Demonstrated leadership skills across all levels in the organization, with a particular focus on managing change, leading through ambiguity, and the ability to build, develop, and lead teams
