About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Assistant Manager to join the Health & Safety Team in Jumeirah Saadiyat Island. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Monitor and ensure all HSE, food safety and sustainability equipment are compliant to local legislation and international standards, and have the required maintenance and third-party certification
- Manage and coordinate HSE Audit, third party visits related to HSE, food safety and sustainability. This will include visits by the authorities, authorised insurance companies and consultants, ensure all activities are in accordance with the local legislation and Jumeirah Standards, generate projects aimed at the continuous improvement of HSE performance of the SBU/SSU’s Operations
- Communicate information to relevant parties such as the Executive Committee, Group HSE and insurers
- Ensure monthly Executive summary is updated and sent with regards to any HSE related matters
- Must be able to perform any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.
- Conduct Risk Assessment periodically and ensure identified risks are managed and controlled
- Facilitate, investigate and analyse incidents/accident and make sure lessons learned are shared and communicated to the concern parties, verify the continuing implementation and effectiveness of the operations with regards to HSE, Food Safety and Sustainability
- Assist the Culinary and F&B teams in HACCP implementation and certification

shows strong initiative and able to work autonomously with regular communication to Group HSE and other HSE Managers within the region - Fluency in English, both spoken and written
- having delivered best in class HSE results within a company.
- Applies good judgment and can act according to Jumeirah Group standards of ethics and integrity
