Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify hazards and suggest corrective actions.
Collaborate with teams to deliver safety training and orientation for new employees.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, analyzing root causes and suggesting preventive measures.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management.
Stay updated on regulations and industry trends, suggesting improvements to enhance safety culture.
Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on safe work practices.
Ensure compliance and promote best practices.
Participate in incident response activities and emergency drills, offering guidance during emergencies.
Supporting with other Compliance focused documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2-3 years of proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer, in service sector Experience with ISO and other audits.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Strong analytical skills for hazard identification and preventive measures.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for training and influencing employees.
Detail-oriented with a knack for maintaining accurate records.
Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or in a team
