Job Description
We are seeking a Inspector Civil to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this unique role, you will combine the responsibilities of a civil inspector with those of a property developer, ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance while contributing to their successful development.
- Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites, ensuring compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to review and approve construction plans and designs
- Identify and report any deviations from approved plans or potential safety hazards
- Participate in the development process, providing insights on land use, zoning regulations, and environmental considerations
- Analyze site conditions and propose solutions to overcome challenges in the development process
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all site visits and findings
- Assist in the creation and review of project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection and development processes
- Stay updated on industry trends, new construction technologies, and changes in local regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in civil engineering, construction inspection, or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Certified Construction Inspector (CCI) certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles, building codes, and construction practices
- Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD or similar CAD software, and GIS applications
- Strong understanding of land development processes and real estate project lifecycles
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety standards in the construction industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for report writing and data analysis
- Willingness to work on-site and travel to various project locations within Dubai and the UAE
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
