SECTION I: JOB PURPOSE
The Interior Designer is responsible for leading the design and execution of interior projects across residential, education and commercial spaces under the direct supervision of the Interior Design Manager as well as coordination with Interior Design Team. The role ensures that creative concepts are translated into practical, high-quality designs that align with project requirements, budgets, and timelines. The Interior Designer plays a key role in space planning, material selection, fit-out supervision, and coordination with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to deliver functional and aesthetically compelling environments.
SECTION II: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop interior design concepts from initial brief to final execution, including mood boards, 2D/3D presentations, material selection, and space planning.
· Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and specifications using AutoCAD and relevant design software (SketchUp, Revit, etc.).
· Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure design integrity and smooth project execution.
· Oversee and manage interior fit-out works on-site, ensuring quality standards, timelines, and budgets are met.
· Source and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes.
· Supervise sample approvals, material submittals, and procurement processes.
· Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve any on-site issues.
· Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety guidelines, and project specifications.
· Maintain accurate documentation and prepare progress reports as required.
· Prepare the needed site works progress reports and prepare the projects payments certificates for both Clients and Subcontractors and ensure these are within allocated Projects budgets
· Follow up on the Projects’ closure and handing over satisfactorily to the Client’s with lease variation orders and on time.
SECTION III: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Minimum Educational Qualifications Required for the Role
§ Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum Years of Experience Required
§ 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in interior design and fit-out projects, with a proven track record in managing both residential and commercial projects.
Nature of Relevant Experience Required
· Hands-on experience in interior design execution, including space planning, material and furniture selection, and site supervision.
· Proven track record in managing interior fit-out works from concept to completion.
· Experience in coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
· Knowledge of local building codes, health and safety regulations, and design standards.
· Familiarity with procurement processes, budget management, and project documentation.
Language Skills
English is required
Arabic is preferred

· Strong design sense with attention to detail and functionality.
· Ability to interpret client briefs and translate them into creative, practical design solutions.
· Proficient in preparing technical drawings and BOQs.
· Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills under tight deadlines.
· Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers and contractors.
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality.
