Position summary
The Communication Intern role is to assist the Team in several tasks including: research, content writing, pitching stories, preparing PowerPoint presentations and some ad-hocks assignments as per the direct supervisor’s requests
Responsibilities
- Organize bi-weekly meetings between clients and mid to senior-level employees at APCO.
- Take minutes of meetings and send accurate, detailed reports to the concerned parties.
- Assist in drafting basic content pieces, including PR and social media materials.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks such as research and email correspondence.
- Maintain email and telephone contact with clients as needed, without requiring supervisor intervention for routine matters.
- Assist in preparing media coverage, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations for internal and client-facing use.
- Support ad-hoc assignments as requested by the Account Director or Direct Manager.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and other deliverables as needed. Participate in a 3-month internship period, which may be extended to a total of 6 months based on business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or senior student/fresh graduate majoring in Mass Communication, International Relations, Public Relations, Marketing, Economics, Business Management, or equivalent.
- Strong writing, communication, organization, time management, and initiative skills.
- Excellent presentation, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and service-oriented attitude.
- Proactive thinker with a flexible, resilient, solution-oriented, and creative mindset.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Availability to work full-time. Ability to perform duties in a general office environment.
