We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Pastry & Bakery Chef to join the culinary team at a high-end resort in the Maldives. This position is ideal for candidates with a passion for baking and pastry arts who are looking to develop their skills in a luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily production of pastries, breads, and baked goods
- Support senior pastry chefs with preparation and presentation tasks
- Ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to hygiene and food safety standards
- Follow recipes and production schedules as directed by the Pastry Chef
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pastry and bakery section
- Participate in mise en place and ensure ingredients are properly stored and rotated
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in pastry and/or bakery in a hotel, resort, or bakery setting
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and professional behavior
- Ready to relocate and work full-time in the Maldives
