The role of Kitchen Team Member will include the efficiency and smooth operations in the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, following hygiene and food safety standards and working with the team to ensure a smooth operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and marinating
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality, and follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste and control costs
- Support the chef and other team members in cooking and assembling dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
- Properly rotate, restock, store, label food items and dispose of waste ensure freshness and prevent waste
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen team members
- Assist in coordinating tasks during peak times to ensure timely food production
- Monitor food quality during preparation
- Assist in conducting inventory checks and reporting shortages
Qualifications and Skills:
- Can join IMMEDIATELY or within 2-3 weeks
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
