The Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth planning, execution, and documentation of inbound and outbound shipments. This role requires deep familiarity with customs, compliance, and aerospace-grade handling, while closely coordinating with cross-functional teams such as procurement, production, and external brokers. About This Role:
- Plan, execute, and track all inbound and outbound shipments
- Manage delivery timelines and proactively flag any delays
- Ensure packaging meets compliance for fragile and sensitive hardware
- Maintain shipment logs, documentation records, and cost reports
- Coordinate closely with procurement and production on shipment scheduling
- Handle discrepancy resolution and insurance claims (where relevant)
- Interface with customs brokers and logistics providers for timely clearance
- Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance for export/import
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of logistics experience in aerospace, defense, or high-value hardware
- Expert-level knowledge of shipping documentation and Incoterms
- Hands-on experience with customs regulations in UAE, Europe, and the US
- Familiarity with freight classification, HTS codes, CoO, dual-use or export control
- Detail-oriented, safety-focused, proactive communicator with strong discipline and willingness to learn
- Strong stakeholder and vendor coordination skills
Nice to Haves:
- Understanding of ITAR, EAR, or UAE export control equivalents
- Familiarity with space industry logistics or similar regulated goods
- Exposure to ERP systems like NetSuite for ASN or shipping coordination
- Ability to evaluate and improve freight vendor performance
- Familiarity with UAE warehouse regulatory norms
