We are seeking a highly driven Business Development Manager with strong exposure to Heavy Industries (Cement, Steel, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas) and Pharma. The focus of this role is on acquiring new customers, driving tender participation, and expanding our footprint across the GCC and international markets.
The ideal candidate brings an existing network in heavy industries and has experience in vendor registration, EPC projects, and industrial procurement processes. This is a growth-focused role where success means generating new revenue streams and securing long-term contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and approach potential customers in cement plants, steel mills, petrochemical plants, pharma manufacturers, EPCs, and government entities
- Build relationships with procurement managers, project managers, and technical decision-makers
- Actively acquire projects and tenders through direct outreach and networking
- Monitor and identify relevant tenders in GCC and international markets
- Manage vendor registration processes with key accounts and government entities
- Prepare technical and commercial submissions in coordination with CEO and suppliers
- Attend and represent the company at exhibitions (ADIPEC, Arab Health, Gulfood Manufacturing, etc.)
- Scout new opportunities in specialty chemicals, firefighting equipment, automation, and spare parts
- Work closely with CEO on pricing strategies and supplier negotiations
- Ensure all opportunities and pipeline activities are logged in ERP/CRM (Odoo)
- Support in drafting proposals, presentations, and business plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Industrial Management
- 5–10 years’ proven experience in business development, tendering, or sales within GCC heavy industries (cement, steel, oil & gas, petrochemical, or pharma)
- Strong understanding of industrial procurement cycles and tendering processes
- Existing network of contacts within GCC heavy industries and/or pharma is highly preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English (Arabic a strong advantage)
