Job Responsibilities:
- Interpreting blueprints and reading building plans to understand and implement the layout of masonry work
- Measuring distance and marking guidelines on surfaces to lay out work
- Lay bricks, blocks, and stones for walls, buildings, and other structures
- Perform plastering and cement rendering work on walls and ceilings
- Tile installation for floors and walls (ceramic, marble, etc.)
- Prepare and mix cement, sand, and other materials
- Read and follow construction plans or instructions from supervisors
- Repair and maintain masonry structures
- Follow all site safety procedures and guidelines
- Work with other laborers and tradesmen as part of a construction team
Skills:
- Bricklaying and block work
- Plastering (internal and external)
- Tile fixing
- Concrete mixing and leveling
- Knows usage of masonry tools such as hammer, trowel, level etc.
- Understand measurements and levels
