Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Draughtsman (Electrical) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed electrical drawings for building services including lighting, power, fire alarm, ELV systems, and coordination with mechanical and plumbing services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for electrical systems (lighting, power, ELV, etc.) as per project specifications and consultant requirements.
- Develop electrical layouts, single line diagrams (SLDs), and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing draughtsmen for clash-free MEP drawings.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, etc.).
- Assist in preparing As-Built drawings.
- Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
- Maintain drawing files and document control systems accurately.
- Communicate with engineers and site teams to resolve drawing-related queries.
- Attend coordination meetings when required
- Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience as an MEP Electrical Draughtsman, preferably in the GCC region.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
- Good understanding of electrical systems in commercial and residential buildings.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
