Position: MEP Quantity Surveyor (Post Contract)
Responsibilities:
- Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs;
- Interim valuations and payment certificates;
- Variations analysis, recommendations and management;
- Risk and value management and cost control functions;
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
- Preparation of progress/ cost reports;
- Experience with utilising various forms of contract and contract administration support
- Reporting to Senior Quantity Surveyor on all commercial issues;
- Attendance and representation at commercial meetings;
- Costs analysis of project work;
- Capture lessons learned and use in improving various tools and processes to improve the approach in delivering projects.
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with demonstrable experience in high-rise building projects in Dubai.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and costs.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Candy, Buildsoft) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with local regulations and practices in the UAE.
- RICS or equivalent professional membership is preferred.
