Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our contracting team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, tendering, contractual documentation, and overall project financial control. The role requires strong experience in UAE construction practices, contract management (FIDIC), and close collaboration with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documentation.
- Conduct quantity take-offs, material analysis, and feasibility studies.
- Manage project budgets and ensure effective cost control throughout the lifecycle.
- Prepare and submit interim payment applications, valuations, and final accounts.
- Assess, evaluate, and negotiate claims, variations, and change orders.
- Review and certify subcontractor invoices, progress claims, and payments.
- Provide contractual advice and assist in negotiations on risks and claims.
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams for cost optimization.
- Monitor market prices, supplier rates, and material trends to support procurement.
- Ensure compliance with UAE laws, contracts, and company standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 5–8 years of QS experience in a UAE contracting company (buildings, villas, or infrastructure).
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction law.
- Proficiency in costing software (Candy, CostX, Primavera, MS Excel, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication in English (Arabic an advantage).
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
- Possess full knowledge of NOC and permit application processes through DEWA, Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Development Authority (DDA), Trakhees, and other relevant authorities in accordance with Dubai construction regulations.
