OPD Nurse – Republic of Nauru
Location: Nauru
Deliver compassionate care and essential clinical support in an outpatient setting.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Outpatient Department (OPD) Nurse to join our healthcare team in Nauru, providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy, multidisciplinary outpatient clinic. This is a hands-on clinical role in a small island nation with unique healthcare needs and a strong focus on community health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, triage, and assessment in the OPD
- Assist doctors during consultations, minor procedures, and treatments
- Administer medications, immunizations, and wound care as required
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation
- Educate patients on medication, treatment plans, and health promotion
- Support chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension)
- Maintain infection control and nursing care standards
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed/Registered Nurse with bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years’ clinical experience, preferably in an OPD or primary care setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills
- Experience in low-resource or remote settings is an advantage
- Ability to work in a multicultural team environment
