We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented operation executive - Land Freight to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate shall be responsible for the full operational oversight and execution of overland logistics activities, including but not limited to the coordination, supervision, and documentation of internal and external heavy truck drivers engaged in cross-border cargo movements. The Employee shall ensure that operational activities are carried out in compliance with Company policies, applicable UAE laws, and international transport and customs regulations.
- Act as the primary liaison for internal and external heavy truck drivers assigned to cross-border routes.
- Issue shipment instructions, dispatch orders, and route schedules in a clear and documented manner.
- Monitor driver location and route adherence in real-time, using tracking systems or manual check-ins as required.
- Respond to and address driver queries, operational disruptions, and emergencies during transit in coordination with the Land Freight Manager.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date shipment schedule covering dispatch, transit, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with all relevant departments (customs, warehouse, client services) to ensure smooth and timely cargo movements.
- Promptly report and document any deviation from agreed delivery timelines.
- Ensure collection of original, signed Proof of Delivery documents from drivers post-delivery.
- Review PODs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client and Company standards.
- Submit PODs for system entry and archiving in accordance with Company retention protocols.
- Accurately input and maintain all shipment records, driver assignments, and delivery confirmations in the Company’s ERP system.
- Ensure that digital and physical records are organized and retrievable in compliance with Company policies and applicable data protection laws.
- Immediately report any discrepancies or omissions to the Line Manager or designated supervisor.
- Ensure all driver activities and vehicle operations comply with UAE Federal Traffic Laws, RTA regulations, and GCC cross-border transport requirements.
- Verify that all transport documentation, including customs declarations and border permits, are valid and present during shipment.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes impacting land freight transport in the UAE and surrounding jurisdictions.
- Maintain logs of scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance for all internal fleet vehicles.
- Coordinate with the Fleet Maintenance Department to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Record all service entries and related documentation in the ERP system.
- The Employee shall be held accountable for the following deliverables, which shall form part of their performance assessment; Timely dispatch and delivery of assigned shipments, Accurate ERP entries and proper documentation filing, Driver compliance with Company policies and UAE/GCC regulations, Proper acquisition and submission of PODs, Coordination of truck servicing without operational disruption, Adherence to all HSE reporting and safety protocols.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in logistics or land freight operations, preferably within the UAE or GCC region.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE road traffic and transport laws applicable to heavy vehicles.
- Familiarity with cross-border transport regulations and customs procedures within the GCC.
- Proficiency in ERP systems used for logistics and transport operations.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to interpret and act upon operational data and shipment documentation.
- High attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Capacity to work under pressure, solve problems independently, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Arabic is advantageous and preferred.
