Job Summary:
The Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality customer service, inventory control, and staff performance. This role is critical in maintaining store profitability, customer satisfaction, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations Management:
- Supervise daily store functions, including opening/closing procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the store.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and local laws.
2. Staff Supervision and Training:
- Manage, schedule, and evaluate the performance of team members, including cashiers, department heads, and floor staff.
- Conduct staff training and development programs.
- Foster a positive and productive working environment.
3. Inventory and Stock Control:
- Monitor stock levels, order inventory, and coordinate deliveries with suppliers.
- Oversee stock rotation, reduce shrinkage, and manage wastage.
- Ensure product availability and appropriate merchandising across all departments.
4. Customer Service:
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement service improvement plans.
- Maintain a strong customer-first culture among staff.
5. Financial and Sales Monitoring:
- Assist in budget planning, sales forecasting, and cost control.
- Analyze daily sales and operational reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Work with the finance team to ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation.
6. Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies in operations and implement process improvements.
- Use KPIs to track and optimize performance.
- Implement store policies to improve productivity and service.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in retail operations, preferably in a supermarket or FMCG setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in inventory management and POS systems.
- Knowledge of health & safety, labor laws, and industry regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From AED4,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
