Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our café team. You’ll be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries that complement our menu and delight our customers. Creativity, efficiency, and consistency are key in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake fresh pastries, desserts, and bread daily.
- Create visually appealing and delicious baked items for display and special orders.
- Develop new menu items and seasonal specials in line with the café’s style.
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry station, following food safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage inventory and ensure all baking supplies are stocked.
- Coordinate with baristas and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff, if needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, ideally in a café..
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and food safety practices.
- Creativity and a passion for presentation and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays.
