Job Summary:
AEI is seeking a qualified and motivated Physics and Chemistry Teacher to deliver high-impact lessons aligned with international curricula, including IGCSE, A Levels, GED Science, and SAT Subject Tests. The ideal candidate will inspire learners with engaging lessons in both physical and chemical sciences, encourage critical thinking, and support exam readiness. You will work with both school-age students and adult learners in diverse learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Physics and Chemistry topics across programs such as IGCSE, A Levels, GED Science, and SAT
- Deliver conceptually clear and engaging lessons tailored to learners of different ages and academic levels
- Prepare customized teaching materials and lesson plans that follow relevant exam syllabi (e.g., Cambridge, Edexcel, GED Testing Service)
- Conduct interactive demonstrations, virtual labs, or simulations when physical labs are not available
- Assess student understanding through quizzes, mock exams, lab reports, and presentations
- Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback to guide improvement
- Incorporate multimedia tools, apps, and digital platforms to support science instruction
- Encourage scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and critical thinking in class discussions
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of varying nationalities and learning goals
- Collaborate with other teachers and coordinators to align instructional goals and share teaching resources
- Participate in curriculum reviews, staff meetings, and professional development workshops
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and reporting requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, national license) preferred
- At least 2 years of experience teaching Physics and Chemistry at the secondary or post-secondary level (Advantage but not required; freshers are welcome)
- Experience teaching IGCSE, A Levels, GED Science, or SAT Subject Tests (Advantage but not required)
- Strong subject knowledge in Mechanics, Electricity, Thermodynamics, Stoichiometry, Organic Chemistry, etc.
- Familiarity with science practical teaching—virtual or hands-on
- Excellent communication skills in English (instruction is in English)
- Ability to use digital tools and simulations for teaching science
- Culturally responsive and capable of engaging diverse learners
- Strong classroom management, planning, and adaptability
