Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Procurement Officer with 2 years of experience in the pool and landscape/ Building Materials /construction industry in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes specific to pool and landscape/construction projects, along with a proven track record of successful procurement activities.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers/vendors capable of meeting project requirements. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements.
- Source and select materials, equipment, and services required for pool and landscape/construction projects, considering quality, price, and delivery schedules. Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment with project specifications.
- Generate purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Monitor order status, expedite deliveries when necessary, and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation of materials to project sites, optimizing shipping routes and schedules to minimize delays and costs.
- Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing procurement activities. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 2 years of proven experience in procurement, specifically within the pool and landscape/construction industry in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and techniques, with a focus on cost optimization and supplier management.
