We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This includes cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, and ensuring value for money while maintaining quality standards and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tenders for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Manage project finances and ensure effective cost control.
- Measure and value work done on-site (interim valuations and final accounts).
- Monitor project progress and prepare reports on expenditure and forecasts.
- Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier contracts, including procurement and payment.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the UAE.
- Provide advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution.
- Support project managers with commercial aspects of construction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably within the UAE
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract law (FIDIC experience is a plus), and local building regulations.
- Proficient in cost estimation software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- UAE driving license preferred.
