Core Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting:Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for interior fit-out projects.
- Tendering & Procurement:Managing the tendering process, evaluating bids, and procuring materials and subcontractors.
- Contract Administration:Handling contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, managing variations, and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Cost Control & Reporting:Monitoring project costs, identifying potential cost overruns, and providing regular cost reports and financial analysis.
- Risk Management:Identifying and mitigating risks related to cost, schedule, and quality.
- Value Engineering:Identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising design or quality.
- Liaison & Communication:Collaborating with project managers, architects, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and budgets.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background:A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience:Proven experience in quantity surveying, particularly within the interior fit-out industry, is crucial.
- Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost management principles.
- Negotiation & Communication Skills:Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions.
