Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets at various project stages.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost benchmarking.
- Prepare tender documentation and evaluate tenders received.
- Advise on procurement strategy and contractor selection.
- Administer and manage contracts, including measurement and valuation of works.
- Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
- Monitor project costs and prepare regular cost reports.
- Identify cost variances and provide recommendations to mitigate overspending.
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
- Assess contractor and subcontractor payment applications.
- Identify and manage project risks related to cost and contract issues.
- Evaluate variations and claims, ensuring accurate cost tracking.
- Advise on cost implications of design and scope changes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, AIQS, CIOB) preferred.
- Minimum [X] years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel and cost management software (e.g., CostX, Candy, BuildSoft).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
