About the Role
We are seeking three experienced Reconciliation Officers/Accountants to join a leading insurance organization in the UAE on a 3-month temporary contract. The primary responsibility will be to manage statement of account (SOA) reconciliations between insurers and internal systems (Praktora, Sage, bank feeds), promptly identify discrepancies, and resolve them in compliance with UAE Central Bank Insurance Brokers Regulation 2024 and audit requirements.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in the insurance sector (broker, TPA, or insurer) with significant reconciliation exposure.
- Visa Status: Only candidates on Family Sponsorship, Golden Visa, or Freelance Visa will be considered (no visa sponsorship provided).
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (ACCA/CMA/UAE CA) are a plus but not mandatory.
- Systems Knowledge: Advanced Excel (Power Query/Pivot), Praktora (or similar broking system), Sage (or other ERP), and bank portal imports.
- Skills: Strong reconciliation accuracy, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Download insurer SOAs and import into reconciliation tools or Excel Power Query.
- Match SOAs against Praktora premium ledgers and Sage commission sub-ledgers.
- Investigate unmatched cash, unbilled premiums, or short-paid commissions, liaising with insurers and internal teams.
- Raise or reverse invoices and journal entries once validated.
- Maintain complete audit trails of reconciliations in shared drives.
