- Take responsibility in
supporting standardization of legal documents, such as contracts &
agreements to ensure VARA is compliant with laws & regulations and
proactively support market assurance function on Licensing, Supervision and
Investigation decisions.
- Proactively suggest and
contribute to development of VARA Regulatory Policy, Rulebooks through
Collaboration with external legal counsel and with local & Federal
regulatory authorities.
- Proactively suggest and
contribute to development of VARA Regulatory Pilots to develop & test new
innovative rules.
- Maintain a high standard of
professional conduct in managing lawsuits, litigation, or claims involving VARA
and/or Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) with suitable resources and
ensure VARA’s position is effectively represented in legal proceedings.
- Collaborate
on cross-functional projects,
working with departments across the organization to drive strategic goals
related to the Regulatory Enablement & Legal.
- Explore
opportunities to enhance collaboration between the Licensing & Supervision
teams and other departments within VARA.
- Perform
additional tasks as required, managing confidential information with discretion
and sound judgment.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Law
/ Legal Advisory.
- Exposure or knowledge of Regulatory
environment, VASPs, Enforcement
organization, and knowledge of legal space in financial
sector.
- Skills and knowledge in Crypto & other virtual assets knowledge.
