About the role
This role is pivotal in sourcing and securing loans backed by physical assets such as vehicles, machinery, and other tangible equipment. You’ll be the face of our lending solutions—identifying potential borrowers, assessing their creditworthiness, and guiding them through the full loan lifecycle.
Reporting to Team Leader-Asset Backed Finance you play a key role in promoting and selling our Bundled Insurance Product, ensuring clients receive comprehensive financial protection alongside their asset-backed loan.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with approved dealerships and showrooms to maximize referral synergies
- Onboard new-to-bank customers and deepen engagement with existing clients by increasing product penetration
- Identify cross-sell opportunities for other divisions within the bank to enhance customer value
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the Bank’s Asset-Based Finance (ABF) policy and ensure strict adherence at all times
- Fully comply with internal Policy Guidelines and the Bank’s Code of Conduct
- Achieve sales targets as agreed with the Direct Sales Manager
- Submit weekly MIS Tracker to monitor progress and pipeline health
- Ensure all proposals submitted to Credit are error-free and supported by complete documentation
- Guarantee that all deals sent to Credit Operations for disbursal are accurate, with original documents properly attested and minimal deferrals
- Notify customers of their application status promptly and escalate any undue delays to management
- Keep dealers regularly informed about the status of their referrals to maintain transparency and trust
- Contact all customers assigned via the Cross Sell System within 24 hours and maintain consistent follow-up
- Collaborate with Credit Operations (CROPs) to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely closure of deferrals
- Ensure all documentation submitted for disbursal is clear, complete, and compliant with internal standards
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong sales, negotiation, and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and loan processing systems.
- Knowledge of asset valuation, credit underwriting, and secured lending procedures
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in asset-based lending
Industry Exposure: Strong understanding of Banking &/Or Financial Services industry
