Customer Transactions
- Process payments using cash, credit/debit cards, or mobile payment methods.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change as needed.
- Ensure correct pricing and handle discounts, coupons, or promotions.
Customer Service
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service at all times.
- Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
Cash Handling & Reporting
- Count cash in the register at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Reconcile daily cash and credit sales, prepare sales reports.
- Follow proper cash handling procedures to prevent loss or theft.
- Deposit money in the safe or hand over to designated staff/management.
Cleaning & Organization
- Keep the cashier area, front counter, and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
- Restock napkins, takeaway bags, utensils, and other counter supplies.
- Assist in cleaning tasks as needed during slower hours.
Collaboration & Support
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure order accuracy.
- Assist with packing takeout orders or serving food during busy times.
- Help with opening and closing duties, including setting up registers or cleaning counters.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and company policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer payment information.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous cashier, retail, or food service experience is a plus.
- Basic math skills and the ability to operate POS systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
