Job Description -
loads using a variety of lifting equipment. This role requires strict adherence to international safety standards and effective teamwork with crane operators and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rigging and lifting operations as per approved lifting plans and safety standards.
- Select and inspect rigging equipment (slings, shackles, chains, etc.) before use.
- Communicate effectively using hand signals or radios with crane operators.
- Read and interpret load charts, lifting plans, and risk assessments.
- Assist in the planning and execution of complex and critical lifts.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with HSE procedures and company policies.
- Identify hazards and take corrective action to minimize risk during operations.
- Ensure all lifting equipment is properly tagged, certified, and maintained.
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Maintain documentation and records related to rigging activities.
