- Monitor daily operations and ensure adherence to HSE policies and legal requirements (Dubai Municipality, MoHRE, Civil Defense, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with UAE Fire and Life Safety Code and labor law regulations
- Identify potential hazards in printing areas (e.g., exposure to inks, solvents, cutting machinery, noise, heat)
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures
- Perform regular site inspections, fire safety checks, and machinery safety assessments
- Assist in internal and external audits (ISO 45001, Dubai Municipality, etc.)
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain documentation of incidents and follow-up on corrective actions
- Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks for new and existing staff
- Train staff in use of PPE, safe machine operation, chemical handling, and emergency response
- Maintain and test fire alarm systems, extinguishers, evacuation plans, and first aid kits
- Lead fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises
- Maintain HSE records: incident reports, inspection logs, MSDS, risk assessments, training records
- Submit weekly and monthly safety reports to management
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
- NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) or equivalent mandatory
- Minimum 3 years’ HSE experience in a manufacturing/printing/publishing environment
- Familiarity with hazardous materials (solvents, inks, flammable storage)
- Knowledge of UAE labor law and local HSE regulations
- Strong communication and reporting skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proactive and detail-oriented
- Able to influence others and enforce safety practices
- Good leadership during emergency situations
